■ SALE Sharks are the latest club to show an interest in signing Exeter Chiefs’ former England lock Geoff Parling, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Parling has rejected the offer of a new contract from the Chiefs and had been attracting some interest from Premiership champions Saracens.
But I understand that the Sharks have now been alerted to his potential availability and could make him an offer to play in the north west next season.
