Owen Watkin plays week in, week out with George North but today he gets his big chance to stake a claim to become the long-term replacement for his Ospreys team-mate in the Welsh midfield.
One of five changes in Warren Gatland’s latest experimental Welsh lineup against France, the 27-year-old aims to impress in what will be his 38th cap.
He has been around for quite a while, making his debut against Australia in 2017, featuring in the 2019 Grand Slam team and then making six appearances in Japan at the World Cup later that year.
