IT was very much a case of professionals against amateurs at the Arms Park yesterday as England women put their Welsh counterpart to the sword with an 11-try demolition.
Wales fought bravely but they could not trouble the defence and every time the bigger, stronger, fitter – and crucially better skilled – English women went through the gears, Wales were left chasing shadows.
The pack laid a perfect platform throughout and there were tries for hooker Amy Cokayne and No.8, captain Sarah Hunter. But most of the damage was done by the backs.
