Sam Matavesi says the World Cup showed Fiji need more fixtures against the leading nations if they are to regularly challenge in the final stages of the tournament.
The islanders reached the quarter-finals this year, losing by six points to England in Marseille, and Northampton hooker Matavesi feels they would have had a better chance of pipping Steve Borthwick’s men had they had similar experience of Test rugby at that level.
