Steve Borthwick needs to conjure up some summer camp steel and fighting spirit within his squad if England are to be considered realistic World Cup contenders.
Unless there is a stunning turnaround in both mindset during the build-up and also performances on the field in the three remaining warm-up games before they travel to France, Lawrence Dallaglio fears a second Webb Ellis Cup will remain elusive.
The England coach names his final squad off 33 on August 7, two days after the first of four August warm-up games.
