Lawrence Dallaglio insists England are now “unlikely” to win a second World Cup because they have fallen too far behind their rivals in the latter stages of Eddie Jones’ reign.
Dallaglio claims the only way to try and close the gap now on Ireland, France and the Southern Hemisphere powers is if the Aussie’s successor – probably Steve Borthwick – focuses solely on short-term goals and ditches Jones’ World Cup obsession.
