IF HE stays in one piece for the rest of the season, Alun Wyn Jones has every chance of finishing it by matching Richie McCaw’s phenomenal feat as the most-capped player of all time.
The New Zealander retired four years ago with the World Cup in his hands at the end of his 148th and final Test as an All Black, a total compiled over 14 years.
Jones, returning home on 143, one more than Sergio Parisse, two clear of Brian O’Driscoll, is scheduled to complete his 14 years of international competition next summer.
Given his durability, Jones will expect to carry on as per usual.
