THE knee-jerk reaction after Scotland’s defeat by Japan, and subsequent Pool-round exit, was for disgruntled Scottish fans to jam the social media airwaves calling for coach Gregor Townsend’s head.
Little wonder when one of the jibes doing the rounds after their 28-21 last Pool round loss went as follows: “A Scot walks into a bar. Usually there’s an Englishman an Irishman and a Welshman involved. But they’re all still in Japan at the World Cup....
