ENGLAND became the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Cup and that is a landmark to be treasured following the failure to do so four years ago.
Whether this six-try performance in Tokyo was that of potential world champions is another matter.
Scoring that many times against a team of Argentina’s calibre is not to be sniffed at – but it would be a stretch to call it a spectacular haul, mainly because five tries were scored when Argentina were down to 14 men.
