WALES held off a fierce Wallaby fightback to take control of Pool D with one of their greatest ever World Cup triumphs.
Having led 23-8 at halftime, Wales had to rely on the boot of replacement flyhalf Rhys Patchell to inch home after Australia scored two tries to leave the score at 26-25 to Wales with minutes remaining.
