Going large: the heaviest starting XV in history?

THERE was much conjecture that the Tonga pack against England last week, which tipped the scales at 985kg – an average of approximately 123kg per unit – was the heaviest in Test history which got me thinking what theoretically would be the heaviest all-time Test XV you could put on the field.
The competition is fierce at prop but the clear front runners are Tonga’s Ben Tameifuna, left, and Fiji’s Bill Cavubati – all 165kg of him… but look out for uncapped Toulon teenager Walid Maamry who already weighs in at 160kg. At hooker we could cheat and select one...
