Savea: We need to produce the goods everywhere

captain Ardie Savea warned his side they should not need a painful defeat to spur them into action.

The bounced back from last weekend's 38-30 defeat to the Pumas in Wellington and were stung into producing a six-try victory. They extended their undefeated run at to 50 games but Savea insisted his side need to produce the goods wherever they run out.

“I am very happy to get the win and respond the way we did,” said Savea, right. “We're the All Blacks, we've got to bring that every week and not rely on a loss to get that response from us. And we shouldn't rely on Eden Park, we want to win at whatever stadium we are playing at. We are grateful to get the W at Eden. “We said all week to look at ourselves in the mirror. We have got to turn up every week.

It was about playing in the right areas and Damian McKenzie and Jordie Barrett controlled that really well. It enabled us forwards to get to work and we got success from it. I am proud of the men tonight, everyone across the board from the management to the boys that were playing.”

Wing Will Jordan added: “We needed a win tonight.”

This was a reality check for who were not at the races as they failed to back up last week heroics.

“We weren't good enough this week, we need to be more consistent, week in, week out,” Argentina captain Julian Montoya said. “I'm proud of the team that we went to look for the game until the last minute. But against this team, you can't give them one half.”
