‘We just got beaten to the punch all day’

Australian coach Eddie Jones admitted his side were second best in most areas in their heavy defeat to South Africa.
He said: “We just got beaten to the punch everywhere. Beaten in the set-piece, we got beaten on the gain line and we got beaten in the air. If you don’t win any of those contests it’s going to be a long day in the office, which it was for us.
“We went out to play with a bit more pace and we were able to do that for 20 minutes but we weren’t able to convert any of the pressure we put on the Springboks into points.
