Northampton playmaker Fin Smith is firmly on the radar of England head coach Steve Borthwick, so says Saints’ director of rugby Phil Dowson.
With Owen Farrell plying his trade across the English Channel with Racing 92 and George Ford sidelined with a torn muscle in Sale’s loss at Saracens last week, the 22-year-old fly-half is in Borthwick’s thinking ahead of the upcoming Autumn Series and was selected in Friday’s training squad.
