Six-try Fiji prove too strong for Samoa

FIJI started their bid for a sixth Pacific Nations Cup title with a 42-16, six-try win over arch rivals Samoa in Suva on Friday.
One hundred years on from the first ever fixture between the two, Samoa looked set to produce a result for the ages as they led 13-5 midway through the first half and then 16-15 at half-time.
However, helped by having the wind at their backs and Samoan ill-discipline, Fiji turned things around in the second half to reel off 27 points without a reply, with impressive openside flanker Kitione Salawa completing a hat-trick.
