Former Red Rose assistant coach Ed Robinson feels the RFU’s controversial decision to sack Eddie Jones nine months before the World Cup is “English rugby’s loss” and Australia’s gain.
Robinson is not surprised Jones has been snapped up so quickly by the Wallabies, after being announced as their new head coach this week, replacing Dave Rennie.
Coventry backs coach Robinson is “nothing but pleased” for his former boss who he regards as the biggest influence in his career alongside his father and fellow ex-England boss Andy Robinson.
