Polledri looks to fast-track way back with Italy

Fit-again Jake Polledri met with Italy boss Kieran Crowley this week as the Gloucester loose forward seeks a fast track back into the Azzurri squad ahead of the Autumn Internationals.
Polledri delivered an increasingly assured performance against Worcester on Wednesday in his first competitive match for almost two years, before declaring: “I’m hungry for more international honours.”
The Bristol-born flanker last played for Italy in November 2020 when he sustained a knee injury that was then complicated by nerve damage.
