Wales 68-12 Canada: Halfpenny injury takes the gloss off Wales’ ten-try romp

DESPITE a ten-try thrashing of Canada, an injury to Leigh Halfpenny marred the afternoon for Wales.
On his 100th Test appearance and with less than 90 seconds showing on the clock, Halfpenny was carried off with a knee injury.
With his first touch of the ball, the full-back slipped as he approached a tackle and fell to the floor before immediately putting up his hand to signal that treatment was required.
The medics attended and after a lengthy delay, Halfpenny was placed on a motorised stretcher and driven from the field to be replaced by Nick Tompkins.
