NEW ZEALAND missed out on the semi-finals for only the second time in the competition’s history as South Africa completed a clean sweep of Pool C.
A high penalty count stacked against the six-time winners who were punished by the boot of South Africa scrum-half Jaden Hendrikse’s three penalties and two from his replacement Sanele Nohamba.
The Baby Boks also crossed for two tries through Vaughen Isaacs and JJ van der Mescht.
