Wallabies’ late rally denies famous victory for Azzurri

AUSTRALIA scored two late tries to see off Italy in Brisbane and avoid a second straight defeat.
The Wallabies led 28-13 on the hour mark thanks to trydoubles from Sefa Naivalu and Israel Folau – but two tries in four minutes from Edoardo Padovani and Tommaso Benvenuti brought Italy back to within a point to rattle the Wallabies.
They needed cool heads and the reliable Bernard Foley and Reece Hodge crossed to ensure a muchneeded victory after last week’s defeat to Scotland.
