Lineout ace Parling joins Wallabies

Melbourne Rebels coach Geoff Parling

Former England lock Geoff Parling has joined Joe Schmidt’s Australia coaching set-up as the build-up to next summer’s Lions tour intensifies.
Parling, 40, had previously worked with England as a set-piece expert and has been based in Australia since joining Melbourne Rebels in 2018. He also worked as assistant coach under former Wallabies coach Dave Rennie in 2020.
Parling will join Schmidt’s team at the conclusion of Super Rugby Pacific and have two months to get the Australian lineout up to speed before Wales visit for a two-Test tour in July. Australia then have a Test against Georgia bef...
