THE FIRST game of this Lions tour was always going to be a challenge, but it shouldn’t have been that tough! I have to give credit to the way the New Zealand Barbarians played – they were the better of the two sides for most of the game. I certainly expected a convincing Lions victory, and I don’t think I was the only one. It didn’t happen and I was shocked at how disjointed the Lions were.
