Wayne Pivac looked a dejected man at the end of the defeat to Australia even though there were some green shoots for him to point to in a much better performance from his players than the previous weekend against Georgia. For an hour we had something to shout and smile about – then it turned sour again!
The outcome is that I’d expect the WRU to move for a new head coach. There is an obvious candidate. He’s been at Principality Stadium for every game this month, working for TV. It is, of course, Warren Gatland.
