The Otters, despite having lost their opening three matches, deservedly led 1812 at one stage, with tries from Lewys Gibby and Kyle Hamer, along with a conversion and two penalties from Jonathan Rogers. But Ponty held a 19-18 lead at the break thanks to tries from Mitch Barnard, Cai James and skipper Cally James, with Jacob Symes adding two conversions.

The second half, however, was dominated by the home side who scored further tries through Louis Rochefort-Shugar, Cally James again, Morgan Bosanko, Lucas Welsh and Dale Stuckey.

Symes added a further three conversions while Jayden Pugh improved the Stuckey try. Gibby grabbed a second try for Narberth.

Ponty, in second, are two points back on leaders – who were not in league action yesterday.

Neath made it four league wins on the spin after returning from Emlyn with maximum points after a 48-27 victory. Evan Kneath, Ellis Lewis (2), Ryan Griffiths, Matthew Davies, Ki Morgan, Kian Jones were on the scoresheet for the Welsh at Dol Wiber. Steff Williams added three conversions.

Dylan Williams scored a second half hat-trick as Bargoed beat Bonymaen 66-21. Jordan Howells, Kieran Brown, Dai Evans, a Louis Tovey brace, Louis Johnson also scored. Matthew Lewis kicked three conversions and Josh Prosser four.

Tries from Geraint Clarke, Sam Jones and Kristian Dacey, along with two conversions and a penalty from James Dixon, saw Brecon to victory 22-14 at Ystrad Rhondda.

Kalum Evans’ brace helped Llangennech beat Met 28-23. Eray Wilson kicked two conversions, with three penalties from Steff Marshall.

Cross Keys won 21-17 at Newbridge. Laurence Donnelly and Adam Tetley got the Keys tries. Tetley added one conversion and one penalty with Ben Elliott also kicking two penalties.
