YSTRAD Rhondda march on at the top of Championship East with a 23-19 bonus-point win over Glamorgan Wanderers to make it eight wins out of nine. Tries from Kurtis Williams, Morgan Burgess, Jack Dauncey and Mason Roderick secured maximum points.
Newbridge nudged above Bargoed into second after running out 16-6 victors in the clash between the two sides. Jonny Paynter scored the only try of the match for Newbridge, which was converted by Sammy Watkins, who also kicked three penalties.
