Ebbw Vale prevent Newport going top

NEWPORT missed the chance to go top of the Premiership after their five-game winning streak was brought to an end with a 28-20 defeat by Gwent rivals Ebbw Vale at Newport Stadium.
The Black and Ambers, who went into the match knowing a bonus-point win would have taken them above Llandovery, actually outscored the Steelmen three tries to one with Henry Palmer, Carwyn Penny and skipper Ben Roach all scoring.
