A late penalty try saw Newport clinch a 10th league win in a row by downing second-placed Llandovery.
Newport trailed before two yellows and a penalty try swung the match and ended Drover’s own five-match winning streak.
The hosts edged a blistering seven-try first half in a battle between the Drovers forward and Newport’s backs.
