Newport centre Cameron Davies scored a candidate for try of the season as he finished off a great move to keep his side in the hunt for a top-four finish.
Newport head coach Ty Morris had told his players before the game they needed to win all eight remaining matches to force their way into the playoffs and this win helped to move them up into sixth spot to get to within nine points of Ebbw Vale.
