A LATE Steff Edwards penalty allowed Pontypool to extend their unbeaten run in the Admiral Championship to five games as they pipped Ystrad Rhondda 28-25. It was as close as anyone has got to upsetting the home side at Pontypool Park in recent seasons. Pooler were forced to work hard after finding themselves 15-7 down at half-time courtesy of some magic from Alex Webber, who set up two excellent tries.
Ystrad Rhondda’s Cole Morgan added his second try, before Rhys Trueglove kicked a penalty, which made it 25-14.
