MERTHYR blew the Premiership title race wide open with a stunning away win at Newport.
Ty Morris’ Newport held a sizeable lead at the top of the table but have now lost two home games in the space of four days to Merthyr and RGC. The Black & Ambers remain top but their destiny is out of their hands. If Cardiff win their final three games with bonus points, they will be champions.
