PONTYPRIDD beat RGC in a winner-takes-all group match to book a quarter-final spot away to Llandovery.
Pontypridd, who made a 350-mile round trip to North Wales, opened up an early 6-3 lead in what was a cagey start to the game.
Ponty’s Cai James scored the first try after making an interception to give his side a ten point lead.
