ABERAVON came out on top after putting five tries past Bridgend as the Wizards stayed top of the West Conference.

Jason Hyatt’s home side quickly got some points on the board courtesy of a penalty by Chris Banfield.

The first try came from Edd Howley who scored for the Ravens after some slick passing. The conversion was dispatched by Jacob Chilcott.

Aberavon nudged in front after a rolling maul saw Ieuan Davies score.

Lloyd Evans crossed next for the home side after a series of forward carries. Banfield converted to make the score 15-7 at half time. Bridgend added another three points ten minutes into the second half with a Chilcott penalty.

With 15 minutes to go, Aberavon added a third try through Rhys Fawcett. Banfield added another conversion.

Another was added to the home side’s tally after an interception from Frankie Jones and a conversion by Banfield.

Moments later, Harvey Nash touched down for the away side though the conversion from Chilcott was missed.

Then, on the stroke of full-time, Stef Andrews took advantage of a turnover and Banfield converted to wrap up a convincing Wizards success.
