Aberavon got their Premiership campaign back on track as they stripped league-leaders Cardiff of their eight-match unbeaten record.
The Wizards were on a four-match losing streak in all competitions but emerged with an important win to move up to second in the table.
Fly-half Rhys Jones proved the difference between the two sides as he kicked 14 points. He swapped penalties with opposite number Dan Fish in a tight first-half, before Aberavon scored the game’s first try through wing Jay Baker.
