Edinburgh survived an enthralling Augustin Creevy-inspired Benetton comeback in the second half to finish on the right side of a 12-try nailbiter.
The Scots had to deal with the added complication of a 40mph wind but hit a half-century to continue their excellent home form and move into the top half of the table.
Edinburgh head coach Sean Everitt said: “To score 50 points against Benetton doesn’t happen often. We did really well in the first-half to make use of our opportunities but we didn’t keep them out.
