Former Wales Grand Slam coach Mike Ruddock hopes Warren Gatland will consider his son, Rhys Ruddock, for an international return this year.
The 33-year-old Rhys has become a Leinster and Ireland stalwart since leaving the Ospreys in his teenage years and making his home across the Irish Sea. But it is three years since he won the last of his 27 Irish caps and on February 14, under the new World Rugby eligibility laws, he becomes available to the ‘land of his father’.
