The Dragons have won a three-way battle royale to land Ospreys full-back Cai Evans, who was named in Warren Gatland’s World Cup training squad earlier this summer.
Cardiff had made Evans, 23, the son of Wales and Lions legend Ieuan, their number-one summer target with his deal at The Ospreys ending this summer but have lost out to The Dragons.
The Dragons moved for Evans after agreeing on a deal to exit WRU control to a consortium led by chairman and former Just Eat chief executive David Buttress.
