Ulster's mid-season crisis deepened when they fell to a fifth defeat in six games in the URC and Europe after they were caught at the death for the second time in a week as Benetton scored their first win over them since 2011.
A penalty from fullback Rhyno Smith two minutes from time was the decisive score after Ulster, having come from 15 points down after 64 minutes, failed to close out the win.
