Jersey boys happy to stay on island

Despite it being three months since Jersey Reds collapse and the club’s dream of climbing to the Premiership bursting, you’re still likely to bump into a number of former professional stars on the streets and beaches of the Channel Islands.
As many as eight of the beleaguered side which won the Championship in May and beat Bath in the Premiership Cup at the start of the season have surprisingly remained on the island, turning down interest from professional clubs elsewhere.
