Having comfortably held their own as newcomers in the Championship last season, Caldy have set high aspirations of finishing as the highest placed part-time team in the league.
The Merseyside club were written off by many ahead of their inaugural second tier campaign but the try scoring heroics of Nick Royle and Oliver Hearn combined with a fantastic team spirit, Caldy defied the odds to secure historic wins over the likes of Ealing Trailfinders and Bedford Blues.
