Ealing will still be team to beat

With the sudden demise of champions Jersey Reds, the race for the Championship is more open than ever, Ben Jaycock reports
Many have suggested that this season’s Championship is set to be a three-horse title race between Ealing, Doncaster and Coventry but the head coaches of the two latter sides have batted away those claims and believe part-time outfit Bedford will be competing towards the top of the table.
This season’s second tier will be without reigning champions Jersey after the club’s financial demise, with the threat of liquidation looming over Harvey Biljon’s title winners.
