Doncaster Knights hosted a conference at the end of last week to which they invited every club to discuss the future of the sport in Yorkshire.
Knights president Steve Lloyd has been working with Lions legend Sir Ian McGeechan and former RFU director of professional rugby Nigel Melville to organise the conference and to get everyone singing from the same sheet.
High up on the agenda before the Knights’ 41-57 Premiership Rugby Cup defeat to Bristol Bears was the county RFU licence to run the Academy out of Castle Park to keep the best young talent in the county.
