Injuries force prolific Cope to call time on Reds career

An injury-ridden past two years is forcing Jersey playmaker Brendan Cope to hang up his boots and come to terms with a non-rugby playing future.
While his team-mates remain in a title scrap against Ealing for the Championship crown, the 29-year-old star isn’t lining up with his pals, but instead faces a far tougher future.
Due to suffering successive serious spinal and hip injuries, the diminutive fly-half has had a difficult life-changing decision – to prematurely end his career and ensure his future health for his young family.
