One of the Championship club’s leading negotiators has highlighted the need for reform as part of the on-going discussions that could see second-tier clubs operating far more in tandem with the Premiership.
Talks between the RFU and Championship clubs took place last week and are expected to result in some big changes for next season.
With the Premiership “set to re-launch as a league” in 2024/25, according to its boss Simon Massie-Taylor, there appears to be two options on the table for second tier clubs.
