AN outstanding defensive display saw Bedford register their fourth league win in five games.
Led by skipper Sean McCarthy and back row Josh Buggea, the home forwards put up an impregnable wall of blue shirts which resisted everything the visitors threw at them during an increasingly desperate fourth-quarter onslaught.
And with pacy centre Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas always a threat and USA fly-half Will Hooley calling the shots, the Blues belied their lowly league position to outscore fourth-placed Cov by three tries to two.
