AMPTHILL took the spoils in the ‘Battle of Bedfordshire’ with winger Kwaku Aseidu a constant thorn in the Blues’ side.
Head coach Paul Turner said: “It’s a massive day – to win the first competitive game against Bedford Blues in the club’s history.” In what was a scrappy, error strewn first ten minutes Ampthill opened the scoring after sustained pressure saw Aseidu dive in at the corner.
