Smith faces huge task to turn Knights’ fortunes

DONCASTER’S heavy defeat in their final game of the season showed up brutally the extent of the problems facing the newly-appointed head coach, Tom Smith – the former Scotland and Lions prop who takes over in June after a stint coaching in Hong Kong.
Initially, Smith will work alongside Doncaster director of rugby, Clive Griffiths, and then take over when the Welshman retires at the end of next season.
