EALING’S slim hopes of setting up a final day promotion blockbuster with London Irish remain alive after they out-gunned brave Nottingham.
To force a thrilling climax Trailfinders must beat Jersey and Bedford in their next two outings and pray Irish lose to either Hartpury or Richmond.
A long shot, admittedly, but they stayed in the race thanks to tries from David Johnston, Harry Sloan, Alun Walker, Matt Cornish and star man Kieran Murphy, who produced a rampaging 80 minutes and was an influential presence throughout.
