JERSEY Reds registered a fifth consecutive Championship win but were pushed all the way by a plucky Richmond utfit.
Richmond claimed two early tries and finished the game strongly, but in between it was the Reds in control, leaving head coach Harvey Biljon a relieved man.
“To get five points when you aren’t at your best is a good sign,” he said.
“We made it hard for ourselves and should be able to close out a game better than that.
“We’ll need to improve significantly if we’re going to compete with London Irish next week.”
