IAN Madigan kicked six penalties to save Bristol from the embarrassment of successive home defeats and gain a valuable four points towards their goal of promotion.
With three league games remaining, Bristol appear to have the title already in the bag but this inept performance will cause concern as three-quarters of their starting line-up are contracted for next season.
Performances like this will soon see them struggling in the Premiership as their scrum was a disaster, their finishing woeful and they had to rely on two late Madigan penalties to secure a fortunate victor...
