PIRATES had this wrapped up by half-time, after dominating a first period in which Hartpury lacked energy, organisation and discipline.
This was the fourth time this season that Hartpury had lost to the Cornishmen, despite opening the scoring when Iain Grieve finished a powerful lineout drive.
But that was as good as it got for the home team.
A big part of Hartpury’s problem was discipline, as a stream of penalties allowed Pirates to enjoy attacking situations for their powerful forwards to exploit.
